A word rather than a theme for this 14th staging of the event!

� Encore!� sets the stage for winning performances, freedom and creativity for a Biennial packed with spontaneity, humour, vital energy, and sensation, filling the halls and auditoriums of the Urban Community of Lyon for a month, during which Dance reigns supreme.

Over the month you can choose between 168 performances by 40 companies and 740 invited artists from every corner of the world and every dance tradition.

From classical to hip-hop, flamenco to ethnic dance, and jazz to contemporary, the entire passion of dance is coming together here in Lyon!

The Dance Biennial has a truly magical and liberating effect!

Grand Lyon Film Festival � Lumi�re 2010

From the 4th to the 10th of October

In 34 cinemas across the Urban Community of Lyon

This 2nd staging of the event promises to be a cinematographic feast, with 6 retrospectives, and the full Visconti� to get you quivering with passion!

It is also the perfect opportunity to (re)discover films in their original versions or by forgotten filmmakers, American rarities, the films of Dario Argento, or a range of French films already considered classics�

To add to the charm of the festival, many actors and filmmakers will be presenting films in 34 cinemas across the Urban Community of Lyon.

The festival will be punctuated with exhibitions and events: a grand celebration of the cinema in the centre of Lyon for the opening on the 3rd, mega-session for younger audiences on the 6th, Cinema Night on the 8th at la Halle, awarding of the Prix Lumi�re on the 9th at the Amphitheatre, tributes and awards� for a major celebration of the cinema that�s open to everyone.

The �village de jour� will offer cinema-related books, classic films and animations: signings, exhibitions, restaurant�

At the �village de nuit� at the Plateforme, you can meet the performers in a warm and pleasant atmosphere.

The suspense has been mounting�

And the winner of the Prix Lumi�re 2010 is� Milos Forman!
